Hi there...
My names Caitlin and I am very excited that you have come to my site!
I am studying both Communication and Motion Design at Swinburne University and I am looking forward to getting my foot out the door and into working in industry.
I would love to work for a design studio focused on branding, advertising and motion design located in Victoria in order to gain experience in the industry. I Thoroughly enjoy all aspects of both the majors in my degree but I love doing more digital-based designs like designing graphics to be animated so I believe working at a studio where I can explore and refine those skills would be amazing. I also love branding and expressing brands in visual forms, I find that it pushes me to look at design from points of view other than my own allowing me to see through the eyes of clients and bring their ideas to life.

In 2016, I collaborated in a program run by ACMI where I was selected from many applicants to create a VR game in the span of one week. I also had an animation displayed in the Melbourne Museum for Top Designs in 2018 and the following year I was dux of Visual Communication Design in Year 12.
Outside of design, I have many passions. Growing up I was raised by the beach which as an adult has now become my comfort place. By the water I feel the most at peace and when I'm stuck on ideas for Uni or even just stressed from other areas of life I love dipping my toes in the water and feeling the waves wash past my ankles, it allows me to clear my head and breathe for a moment, keeping me grounded and bringing me back to thinking creatively. passion of mine is music! Whether that's going on a road trip and singing my heart out in the car, staring outside the train window whilst an emotional ballad is playing and feeling like I am a character in a movie, or dancing terribly with my friends at a live performance. I find that bonding over music can create some amazing connections and I love how a good song can change my mood in an instant. I would love to somehow incorporate my passion for music into my career as a designer at some point in the future as I believe the idea of representing music in a graphic form would push me to think completely outside the box!
I am currently undertaking an undergraduate degree in design co-majoring in Communication and Motion Design at the Swinburne University of Technology.
